Captain Gerry Schwaller is a U.S. Coast Guard Licensed
Captain (OUPV). He has been a boater his whole life and has owned
several sail and power boats. After being a summer and weekend
cottage owner, Gerry and his wife Linda retired to Door county in
2002. Since 2003 they have owned and operated
CLASSIC BOAT TOURS OF DOOR COUNTY, LLC.
Gerry and Lin live in Fish Creek full time but winter in southwest
Florida. In his former life "Mr. Schwaller" worked 33 years for
the Appleton, WI. Area School District as a Teacher, Social
Studies Dept. Head, Dean of Students and Associate Principal.
Gerry and Lin have two adult children and four grandchildren.
Gerry has made a study of Door County history,
geography, culture and folklore. He can give details, as well as
show the sites. Ask him anything; if Gerry doesn't know the answer
he does what any Door County local does..."spin a tale" that might
be half true.

The "Ava Lil" is a 21'
Cape Craft WalkAround, powered by a 150 hp Yamaha four stroke
outboard engine. Bought new in 2005, the "Ava
Lil" (named after Gerry and Linda's eldest grandchild) was
designed for the Gulf of Mexico. This means the boat is safe, dry,
comfortable, quiet and ready for the unpredictable waters of Green
Bay. The "Ava Lil" has full canvas
(removable in summer), an open cockpit (just right for talking,
snacking and taking pictures), a closed bow and a small cabin.
Fast or slow, the "Ava Lil" goes
where you want at your pace. Everything is aboard: life jackets,
porta-potty, binoculars, sunscreen, radio, GPS, narration and fun.
We even give you a complimentary picture(s)
of your cruise.
